· v1.2.1
Events that crossed borders belong to no single state
- Investigate
- Theories
- Cities and places
- Data and accuracy
A pandemic, a world war or an earthquake felt in several countries is no longer filed under one of them.
- The Black Death was shown as Georgia’s, and Investigate read Georgia’s wars and rulers as its conditions. It now belongs to no single state, as do COVID-19, the Holocaust, the Second World War and about a hundred other events that crossed borders.
- Where such an event has a place of its own, the border at that place decides: the Nepal earthquake of 2015 is now Nepal’s rather than India’s, and the Haiti cholera outbreak Haiti’s rather than Mexico’s.
- Some theories of history no longer apply to cases they had been reading through the wrong state.
